City Credit Union, a finance firm in Dallas, Texas, was built on the knowledge that credit union members are friends, family members, co-workers and neighbors and on the belief that saving and spending should be kept "in the family". When the business opened its new corporate office in the heart of trendy uptown Dallas, it found itself in need of a look to complement the city. For assistance in finding the best furniture for the new space, City Credit Union sought expert product knowledge and design advice from National Business Furniture account executive Rusty Jenkins.

Fresh, Transitional Aesthetics

Due to the credit union's new location in trendy uptown Dallas, Texas, the business wanted its corporate office to have a fresh, transitional aesthetic that would appeal to the locals. Fortunately, Jenkins had just the thing in mind—high-style desks and seating from one of our most trusted furniture manufacturers, National Office Furniture. By mixing and matching several different collections within the National Office Furniture family, Jenkins was able to create a look that was not too modern or too traditional. Incorporating a blend of espresso veneers, modern upholstery patterns and angular framework allowed Jenkins to coordinate the entire office in a similar look without forcing it to appear overly "matchy-matchy".

Collaborative Space for Productive Meetings

One of the more innovative facets of City Credit Union's Dallas office is its use of open floor space as a hub for impromptu and casual meetings. The collaborative touchdown area features lounge seating from National's Grin and Fringe collections, which work together to create a low-key sitting area that still leaves the space feeling wide open. With meetings being held in the office on a daily basis, the office needed a casual alternative to building new walls for large conference rooms, and this touchdown space has provided just that.
