The .75" wide color inserts add a pop of color to this board. They also conceal the wall-mounting hardware so no fasteners are exposed. The surface is made of porcelain steel that is magnetic. So, while you're taking notes on the board you can also adhere notices or announcements to the surface. This board is 1" thick for enhanced stability.
