How is furniture delivered?

The answer to this question depends on the weight and size of the furniture. Methods include FedEx, tailgate and inside delivery. To learn more, read our blog post on the topic or call 800-558-1010 to talk to one of our furniture experts.

What is tailgate delivery?

Larger and heavier furniture items, including desks, tables and filing cabinets, will need to be shipped by a freight carrier using a large semi-trailer truck. In these instances, the driver will pull up to your loading dock and bring the furniture to the back of the truck. If no loading dock is available, a lift gate will be provided to lower the shipment from the truck. You would be responsible for bringing the product into your location.

What is inside delivery?

If your location does not have people who are able to bring your new furniture into the building, we recommend adding inside delivery service to your order. When you request inside delivery, the driver will take the boxes off the truck and bring them inside your location’s ground level front door. For shipments weighing more than 125 pounds, the driver will bring the item into your room of choice, including going up one flight of stairs. There is an additional fee for this service which will be shown at check out. This service will add approximately 1-4 weeks to your transit time depending on your distance to the service provider. Does not include assembly.

Do you have furniture assembly services?

If you are needing assembly of your furniture, we do have a nationwide network of installers available for installation. Please call 800-558-1010 and select option 3 to speak with one of our furniture experts regarding this service.

How much is my delivery?

Delivery charges vary. Delivery rates are generally 12-20% of the merchandise price; however, that can change based on product weight and shipping origin. Please call 800-558-1010 for a guaranteed rate from one of our representatives. Additional delivery charges will be applied on shipments to Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories. We do not deliver to P.O. boxes, international addresses or APO addresses. A U.S. consolidation point and a TCN# is required for overseas destinations.

How long will it be before my product arrives?

Quick Ship items typically arrive within a week. In Stock items arrive in 1-2 weeks, while Made-to-Order items arrive in 2-4 weeks or more depending on the product. Please note that shipping times may vary. This information can be found on the product detail page for each item and on your order acknowledgement after your purchase.

How long do I have to report delivery damages or product issues?

Customers are required to inspect delivered products for damage upon receipt. Any claims or complaints about damaged products must be made within 5 days of delivery. Claims made later than 5 days after delivery may not be covered by delivery insurance and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Is debris and carton removal included with delivery?

Commercial furniture delivery services do not automatically include carton/pallet and debris removal. If you require carton/pallet and debris removal, please check out with "inside delivery" or talk to your sales representative (1-800-588-1010, extension 3).
